Lighthouse of Prayer is a non-denominational, bible-believing, full-gospel church. About five years after accepting the call to preach, the church was formed at the prompting of the Holy Spirit on February 13, 1986, when Senor Pastor Ron Gibson stepped out on faith to start a whole new church.  Pastor Ron is the only pastor the church has ever had, although the building has changed many times through the years.

We believe strongly that the key to attaining and maintaining this vision called, “Lighthouse of Prayer,” has been prayer. Pastor Ron has been blessed to have a prayer warrior at his side in his wife, Miss Alma. The bible clearly states that effectual fervent prayer avails much. The results speak for themselves, as God has performed many miracles through the years — not only in his provision and favor, but through healings and deliverance that cannot be explained away. To God be the glory!

In 2000, an 8-1/2 acre farm was purchased with several buildings on the property. We’ve come a long way in converting a farm into a church campus, but we’re holding steadfast to a vision of the future Lighthouse of Prayer. Having the large barn turned into a Youth Center and a Women’s Halfway House established on the grounds are just two of the dreams we hold onto. God has truly blessed us in the past, and we’re expecting even greater blessings in our future… for nothing is impossible with God!
