Lighthouse of Prayer

At Lighthouse of Prayer, we take seriously the Great Commission. Jesus told us to take the gospel (the good news) to all the world in Mark 16:15.

We don’t believe a church is just a building for people to come one day each week and sit. The church is the people — the body of Christ! We need to take what we know (this good news) and spread it around. We want to be found busy when the Lord returns for his church! Lighthouse does not want to be guilty of having the mentality of “they know where we are, if they want to reach God.” How can people know they want Him if they have never experienced Him?

Lighthouse has been blessed with several preachers whom God has called — and chosen. Not everyone used by God is called to pastor a church. The Bible says … “some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers.” (Ephesians 4:11) Lighthouse of Prayer is a place where all these gifts are operating for the glory of God. And we are not shy about taking these gifts outside the walls of the church.

Our church wants you to know a Living God who walks among us today. The goal of each of the various ministries within our church is to offer proof that our God is not too far away to hear us -- nor too “harsh” to care about us. We hope everyone comes to know the God who desires that none should perish (2 Peter 3:9), the God who tells us that the very hairs of our head are numbered (Matthew 10:30), and the God who said he sees even a sparrow fall from the sky – and then tells us that we are more valuable than that bird (Luke 12:7).

Pastor Ron has always felt passionate that the Lighthouse of Prayer truly be a “hospital for the hurting.” (We offer a 12-step program for this very reason.) His heart’s desire has been to have a church that is based on God’s Word – and not traditions of man. For this reason, no denominational tag hangs over the door at Lighthouse.

Sinner's Prayer

Heavenly Father, I come to you admitting that I am a sinner. Right now, I ask you to forgive me. I believe that Your Son, Jesus, died on the cross. I believe that He rose from the dead and is in Heaven today. I call upon the name of Jesus Christ and confess Him to be the Savior and Lord of my life. Jesus, I choose to follow You and ask that You fill me with the power of the Holy Spirit. I declare that right now I am a child of God. I am free from sin and full of the righteousness of God.
I am saved in Jesus' name. Amen.
