HEALINGS
WHEELCHAIR-BOUND MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS VICTIM HEALED! Joell White heard about a church where people got healed, so she had a friend drive her to Lighthouse of Prayer in 2005 to request prayer for her healing. She suffered from Stage 7 MS, had been confined to a wheelchair for about a year, and was taking 42 medications per day! She had numerous side effects from the MS, having 7 cancerous lesions on her liver and kidneys that totally disappeared after her healing. The urologist who was treating her for these lesions stated, "You have a greater doctor than me, and I know he is Jesus." He sent a print-out of documentation to the Lighthouse as proof of her miraculous healing. The doctor who told her there was no cure for MS now calls her his “Miracle Patient!”
MAN RAISED FROM THE DEAD AT THE HOSPITAL! In 2004, paramedics pronounced church member Jerry Boston dead in his front yard after he had gone out to mow the grass. He was taken by ambulance to Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital. Pastor Ron, along with Rev. Mike Miller, requested permission from the hospital staff to go back and pray for him . (The family had been removed to a private waiting room.) They were granted just a couple of minutes and then told to leave. A family member later told Pastor Ron that the doctor immediately came into their waiting room and said that whatever they were doing was working... Jerry’s eyes had dilated and he revived! The doctor said, “God was able to do what I couldn’t.”
DEAF EARS OPENED WHILE WORD GOES FORTH! Paul Gibson, Sr. (Pastor Ron’s father) wore hearing aids in both ears in the early 1990’s. While Pastor Ron was preaching, Bro. Gibson felt his ear “pop” and his hearing returned.
GOD RESTORES HEART! Mildred White had undergone 3 open-heart surgeries and needed a 4th one, but her arteries were so deteriorated that doctors could not operate. She was a Baptist who came to the Indiana location for prayer in the early 1990’s at her daughter’s invitation (Wanda Coffey). She was healed and probably added about ten years to her life. Doctors told her after she received her healing that she had the heart of a young person, telling her that it “beat like a Singer sewing machine!”
WOMAN HEALED WHILE PASTOR PREACHED! For about 10 years, new member Rhonda Boyd had suffered with endometriosis (a painful condition of the uterus). It had progressively worsened to the point where she was bed-ridden for 2 to 3 days each month for the last three years. Her symptoms included excruciating pain and dizziness that immobilized her, and the blood loss was so extensive that no product on the market was sufficient to contain it. She was healed in October of 2010 as Pastor Ron preached. During the service, she felt extreme pain and was concerned that she would faint. Those around her laid hands on her and began to pray in the Spirit while Pastor Ron preached. She left the church very weak that day, but has never had another abnormal "issue of blood."
“CANCER” IS JUST A WORD TO OUR GOD! In 2007, John Giberson was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and cancer of the blood. After receiving prayer in the hospital, his blood tests immediately showed no cancer — and about a week later, tests on his heart showed it also had been healed!
C.O.P.D. HEALED Dallas Watson went through the prayer line while Lighthouse was still located in Indiana (early 1990’s). He suffered from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and was on oxygen. The doctors had given up all hope for his recovery. Pastor Ron yanked the oxygen from his nose and Dallas was instantly healed.
DELIVERANCE
God has worked many, many miracles at the Lighthouse in the area of deliverance from drugs and alcohol. More than a few of our members at Lighthouse are no stranger to addiction. In fact, most of those had already tried – and failed – other rehab centers before their encounter with God at our weekly Twelve-Step Meeting. Below is just a sample of the wonderful stories of deliverance God has provided for:
· A drug addict with a 25-year cocaine habit who had been to three different Rehab Centers without success. She lost her husband, her children, her job, and her home because of cocaine. She desperately wanted to stop, but felt powerless to do so. She began attending the Twelve-Step Meetings, and God reached down to her and released her from that addiction. (Now “clean and sober” for 9 years!)
· A suicidal meth addict who began huffing gasoline at age 9 and was hospitalized for depression at age 11. He also tried several Rehab Programs, but without lasting results. He agreed to go to the Twelve-Step Meeting just to humor his aunt, but he encountered Jesus instead! Jesus set him free from the drugs, depression, and suicidal thoughts. (He’s been “clean and sober” for 9 years now!)
· A 17-year drug user who began to have health problems related to smoking meth. He wound up in a hospital emergency room — and God met him there… offering total, instant deliverance from multiple addictions. Before that, he had been in trouble with the law and was sentenced to Drug Court for treatment. He completed their 1-1/2 year program and stayed clean, but says he “fell on his face” within a week once his behavior was not being monitored. For 17 years he could not do what God did in an instant! (“Clean and sober” 4 years now!)
· A substance abuser with a long family history of men who died as hopeless alcoholics. In addition to drugs and alcohol, addictions to gambling and even relationships helped ease his pain — for awhile. On a path of self-destruction since age 14, he finally sought the Lord’s help. Through our Twelve-Step Program, God brought deliverance to the desperate alcoholic who in the past had just wanted to die. Now in his 50’s and “clean and sober” for over two years, this man has confronted the demons of his past that tormented him — and gives God all the Glory!
Psalm 116 (NIV)
I love the Lord, for he heard my voice; he heard my cry for mercy.
Because he turned his ear to me, I will call on him as long as I live.
The cords of death entangled me, the anguish of the grave came upon me;
I was overcome by trouble and sorrow. Then I called on the name of the Lord:
“O Lord, save me!”
The Lord is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion.
The Lord protects the simple-hearted; when I was in great need, he saved me.
For you, O Lord, have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears,
my feet from stumbling, that I may walk before the Lord in the land of the living.
How can I repay the Lord for all his goodness to me?
O Lord, truly I am your servant I am your servant, the son of your maidservant;
you have freed me from my chains.
Praise the Lord.
